About Pony Patrol
Pony Patrol is an interactive multifaceted program that immerses community in the magic of horses. The vision of Pony Patrol began in early 2015 when its founder started to understand the magic of equine encounters in a natural, unscripted, non pre-fab setting. Inspired by teachings from mentors and riding clinicians the pillars were born, built and solidified in a unique manner. Pony Patrol would become a youth led program where miniature horses are brought into the community by adolescents that have passion not only for the horses but for making a difference, one encounter at a time.
Our Programs
Youth Training
Pony Patrol certification designed to teach youth all aspects of horsemanship, agility, trailer and public safety. We encourage handlers to advocate for their mini and to engage the public through conversation
Agility Sessions
Agility training keeps the miniature horses in shape, engaged and accustomed to changes in their environment. Agility allows the youth handler to practice skills and connect with miniatures to ensure connection and relationship building. These in turn create horses that are ready to be in the public.
Equine Education
Our equine education programs promote charity, responsibility, and horse handling skills. Classroom learning teaches broad topics from healthcare, first aid, biomechanics and topics that are often missed in traditional settings.
